The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company's risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo's risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Commercial Banking Data Office is a data within DMI that delivers trusted, reliable data which drives strategic decisions, enables business growth, and facilitates a strong risk discipline. We enable usage of common data that is complete, trusted, understood, and aligned with our financial reporting.

This position is a Data Management Consultant role supporting our iHub service within the Commercial Banking Data Office.

iHub is a data aggregator which standardizes commercial lending data and distributes to downstream applications and reporting services. The iHub team provides data integration, data readiness, and data consultancy services. It is a team of commercial lending data SMEs that work with the various lending systems to standardize data and support the data. They are accountable for mapping the Wholesale/Commercial Lending Systems of Record (SORs) and supplemental data Systems of Origin (SOOs). They provide data analysis and profiling support for various releases, act as liaison with SORs and their downstream consumers to resolve data requirements questions and concerns, and provide data usage subject matter expertise to consumers.

You will be primarily accountable for managing a set of systems of record and systems of origin ingested within iHub. You will own all aspects of these systems and entails managing projects and day to day BAU activities. These activities include source to target data mappings tied to break/fix or project activities, data issues research and remediation, and providing data subject matter expertise to consumers. This entails providing guidance, subject matter expertise, and milestone tracking. The person must be comfortable with ambiguity and working in an evolving environment with undefined or immature policies, procedures, and organizational structures. You strive to create efficiencies and effectiveness through process improvements. You have the ability to reach consensus among people with competing priorities and influence the adoption of processes. In this role, you will need a strong data management background supporting data stores. You should be able to consider impacts across environments and initiatives, anticipate tasks, issues, and challenges and proactively address them.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of analytical experience
  • 3+ years of consultative business analysis experience


Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial lending experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Agile experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Project Methodology (EPM)
  • Metadata management and data integrity skills
  • Experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo Loan IQ system


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
