In this role, you’ll help keep our high-volume pharmacy benefits facility running smoothly with emphasis on maintaining inventory and storage of prescription medicines. This role is to ensure OOS (out of stock) medications are resolved on a daily basis. This requires daily management of out of stocks to meet patients' needs. This position is in a fast-paced environment with high quality expectations. You will need to have the ability to learn and absorb information quickly. Excellent attendance is a must in this role.
Monitor high-touch private label account in backorder queue
Research and resolve high-touch private label account backorders with the oldest backorders being worked first
Ensure all backordered orders will be arriving in time to be shipped within 2 business days of the order's receipt
Produce a report daily listing the products which are coming in that day needed to fill any aged high-touch private label account orders, so the receiving staff can prioritize those items accordingly
Place any orders necessary throughout the day to bring products in off contract and prevent future out of stocks
Monitor incoming emails from high-touch private label account
Seek approval from high-touch private label account for dispensing of products where the only available product has short dating (less than 6 months)
Communicate the high-touch private label account short date approvals to the dispensing staff so that the approved orders can be filled and shipped
Notify client of upcoming high-volume drug conversions once the available stock is fully allocated
Run daily client inventory file audit to ensure that the changes (conversions and new adds) which will be present on the next day's inventory file are correct and not in excess of the SLA maximum changes per day
High School Diploma / GED or higher or equivalent experience
Current Kansas Pharmacy Technician License or the ability to obtain it within first 90 days of employment
Ability to work between the hours of Monday- Friday from 5:30 am- 2:00 pm, CST. Overtime is common in this role and is generally completed prior to scheduled shift
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including the ability to create a spreadsheet, filter, and sort
Experience utilizing Microsoft SharePoint, including the ability upload documents and access files
This position requires the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in-person and via telephone / email
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work in a Team setting environment
This position is mostly working in a cubicle during the shift but will have movement as needed on the pharmacy floor
