Position Description:
Positions in this function are responsible for collecting and mining large amounts of medical claims data, analyzing data sets, and interpreting data by drawing parallels to business systems and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and build queries, functions and stored procedures to collect and mine large data sets
- Perform and coordinate the analysis and design of business systems
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the needs of claims operations from both a business and technical perspective
- Act as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups
- Work closely with development team to validate the technical design (or create a technical design concept) that addresses business need
- Present information and solutions to business leaders and key stakeholders

 Required Skills: Qualifications:
- 2 years demonstrated experience performing analysis and developing design concepts is required
- 2 years of data mining and integration experience is required
- MS Excel, Access, Word, and Visio is required
- Oracle and SQL Server knowledge is preferred
- Experience working with data warehouse/data marts is preferred
- Experience with business intelligence tools is a plus
- Understanding of UHC claims operations is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
