Inside Sales Supervisor

We are currently seeking a talented Inside Sales Supervisor for the Tempe, Arizona market. The Inside Sales Supervisor will promote and sell DHL services by phone to meet sales targets and generate revenue. She/he will respond to customer needs and requirements with the appropriate DHL service. They will develop relationships with new clients by prospecting and responding to business development needs. She/he will monitor and review customer sales activity and make adjustments to process and strategies. The Inside Sales Supervisor will develop and execute telephone, web, email, and mail marketing to establish and qualify clients/prospects. They will make outbound calls to or accept inbound calls from prospective clients and answer questions. She/he will also qualify leads to refer to the sales team.

Responsibilities:
• Recruits, hires and provides coaching and development. Directs, trains and motivates call center representatives who manage accounts, close sales and generate leads over the telephone
• Generates revenue through inbound or outbound telesales functions or call centers managing small to mid-size accounts
• Manages territories through business analysis, planning, opportunity management and activity management
• Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Service management to promote and implement sales growth and customer retention strategies and activities
• Observes / Monitors sales reps as appropriate, reinforcing DHL sales skills, product knowledge and call flows
• Assists inside sales representatives in securing critical sales in key or complex accounts
• Develops, implements, and improves processes through identification of operational, sales, and technological changes that are having an impact on customer satisfaction and call center efficiency


Qualifications & Requirements:
• Generally understands basic supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action
• Must demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to speak in front of large audiences. In addition, must possess strong facilitation & training skills (both in a classroom setting, as well as administering on-line training to groups).
• BA/BS degree preferred
• Prior business to business sales experience required, plus a minimum of 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong technical skills required, along with advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word & PowerPoint)
• Transportation sales industry experience is a plus
