The Collections Industry offers a multitude of job opportunities. The prime objective of both representative and management positions is to collect unpaid debts for customer companies with professional assistance in determining collection payment options for the debtor. Today's rep communicates through phone, email and web contact in addition to managing paper work and computer database responsibilities. Superior inter-personal and communication skills are a necessity for both collections management and reps in this industry.
Call centers have radically changed over the past decade with customer service initiatives, advanced call center technology, and improved management and representative job training. Reps must be well versed on refinance collection options and bill consolidation to assist debtors in developing a successful repayment plan. Training employees to use the newer call center technology is a critical component of successful call centers, but rep and management training on rules and collection regulations is also critical.
